Farm Supervisor Wanted – Makonde
We are looking for an experienced Farm Supervisor to join our new avocado farm in Makonde.
Duties include:
- Planning and supervising daily farm work
- Managing staff, leave, accommodation and on-site welfare
- Operating and supervising tractors and heavy machinery
- Managing irrigation, drainage and flood prevention
- Monitoring tree health, pests, diseases, weeds and waterlogging
- Keeping accurate daily records
- Supervising planting, maintenance and harvesting
- Working with the agronomist and ensuring staff complete required training
- Maintaining farm safety and enforcing farm rules
- Reporting to the directors and supporting future farm development
- Coordinating machinery servicing and repairs
- Monitoring staff performance and maintaining export-quality standards
Requirements:
- Experience in farm operations or farm supervision
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Reliable, hardworking and responsible
- Willingness to live on the farm
- Ability to work with tractors and farm machinery is an advantage
